If you’re a fan of Wale and have been following his Snapchat recently, then your wait is finally over. Wale has released his song “My PYT,” the first single off his upcoming new album, SHINE. The song, clearly inspired by the all-time classic “P.Y.T. (Pretty young Thing)” by Michael Jackson, is the first piece of new music we’ve gotten from Folarin in a while, but the MMG rep has been previewing several new songs on his Snapchat story in anticipation for the new album, his 5th LP, and teasing his followers with studio sessions from all over the country. The chorus of the song pays direct homage to Jackson’s original song, with Wale singing: “I wanna love you, pretty young thing / You need some lovin’ from a real one.” In a press release, Atlantic Records revealed that SHINE will be out this fall.
